John Waters On Donald Trump: "I Hated Him" Before He Was President!

The "Pope of Trash" gets political.

John Waters is not a fan of the new President.

In a profile for The Guardian the "King of Bad Taste" discussed everything from the recent restoration of his second feature film, Multiple Maniacs, and why he would never crowdsource his next movie to what he thinks of Donald Trump.

"I hated him before," Waters said when he mentioned the president and his disdain for The Apprentice and reality TV in general.

"I hate a hopper. A hair-hopper is someone who pretends they’re rich, who really wasn’t brought up very wealthy but now tries to brag that they’re rich, and they spend too much time on their hair.”

Aside from politics, Waters also answers the question of whether he would ever consider a crowdsourcing campaign to fund his next film—his first since 2004's A Dirty Shame.

“I own three homes. Am I gonna go out and say: ‘Send me $10?’” “I’m against that. I have too much money to panhandle," he explained.

"They [the movie studios] all want you to make a movie for under a million dollars, which I don’t want to. I don’t want to be a faux radical filmmaker at 70."

If he's done with movies may we suggest a run for office?
