Johnny Depp is opening up in the November issue of Vanity Fair, and boy does he have some things to say. The biggest revelation, by far, is that young Jonathon used to attend Scientology study groups. Gasp!
It turns out however that Depp was not there for any spiritual reasons, but rather to make the $3 everyone was paid to show up. He also used to pump gas. These days, not so much.
Depp does however lose some of his charm when he begins talking about the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which has earned him roughly $300 million. “Basically, if they’re going to pay me the stupid money right now, I’m going to take it,” he explains. Personally we would be MUCH nicer to anyone shelling out that much money to us. Or any money to us.
The “stupid money” is not for Depp though, but for his kids he explains. We would say the kids are probably all set at this point JD.
From $3 classes to $300 million dollar film franchises, Depp has clearly come a long way from his humbler beginnings. Wonder if he knew Thomas Jane back then?
