JoJo Siwa's "Wonderful, Perfect" Girlfriend Inspired Her to Come Out

"I get to share what makes me the happiest with the world..."

JoJo Siwa is officially relationship goals.

The Nickelodeon star recently made headlines when she came out as a member of the LGBTQ community, and now we know that it was her girlfriend that helped her step out of the closet.

"I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world," Siwa revealed during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "It's not something I'm ashamed of, I just haven't shown the internet yet."

Siwa fueled rumors of her sexuality when she posted a video of her dancing to "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga on TikTok. She then goes onto explain how it was during a FaceTime call with her girlfriend that she was encouraged to post the photo of her wearing the "Best Gay Cousin Ever" t-shirt that sent the internet into a tizzy.

"I was on FaceTime with my girlfriend... and we were just talking about all the love that came in [from the TikTok video], and we were both like, technically I still haven't confirmed it," she explained. "I was like, I kind of just want to post this picture on my real story. There's always been speculations, of course, but I was like, I think this is gonna out me."

"I was like, 'Technically it was a really big risk posting that. But if I lost everything that I've created because of being myself and because of loving who I want to love, I don't want it. That's not what I want if I can't love who I want to love, that's one of the most important things to me."

And it sounds like Siwa is still emotional being able to share this side of herself, telling Fallon how she started crying over the phone to her girlfriend before she sat down for the interview:

"I started crying. She's like, 'What's wrong with you?' And I was like, 'I'm just so happy because now I get to share what makes me the happiest with the world, and it makes my heart so happy.'"

Love wins!
