"Nerves to poo?"

Jonathan Van Ness, resident grooming expert on Netflix’s Emmy-winning Queer Eye reboot, has partnered with Poo-Pourri, the natural air freshener spray that helps eliminate bathroom odors and "keeps your butt cheeks smelling butt chic."

In a new digital ad, the Poo-Pourri spokesperson pops into a gender-neutral restroom to help folks feeling crappy about their feces. "Queen, you should be out there living life to the fullest, not in here playing poop chicken with your co-workers," he tells one poop-shy woman. "There’s a diva inside there, honey, and it is time you let her out."

"I love the idea of de-stigmatizing things that have shame attached to them," JVN says in a statement. "I’ve dealt with poo shame myself and this campaign was a fun way to instill confidence in others. People poop, and sometimes you feel weird about pooping, but you just gotta go!"

The 32-year-old Over the Top author reveals in a behind-the-scenes video that his mother had previously taught him to use Poo-Pourri "so I don’t, like, stink some man who I’m trying to date up out of my apartment." He also shares his most epic poop story, which involves a hot seafood salad, a Kia Rio, and "gallons of shit."

Van Ness clearly has no shits left to give. After coming out publicly this summer as nonbinary and gender nonconforming, the proud Elizabeth Warren supporter also opened up about being HIV-positive and sexual assault survivor.

Queer Eye's fourth season is now streaming on Netflix. Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!, a four-episode special, premieres November 1.
