Houston Astros Josh Reddick Strips Down To Flag Underwear, Gets Drenched By Teammates

Why were we not informed this happened in baseball?

The Houston Astros just beat the Boston Red in Game 4 of the American League Division Series and will advance to the American League Championships. The boys celebrated in the locker room by drenching each other in champagne.

Now, I don't mean just a little splash—they gave each other the full Silkwood shower of hose-downs. Some had goggles on, which suggests this deluge is something of a tradition.

Right fielder Josh Reddick took it to the extreme, stripping down to his American flag briefs before letting his teammates drench him in their sticky, gold liquid.

Apparently this is also a tradition: Reddick was filmed in his flag skivvies last year, when he got hosed with the L.A. Dodgers. (Does he wear those all season or just to the final game?)

More than a few people suggested having an American flag pressed against your nut sack was slightly less patriotic than taking the knee during the National Anthem, but we're not gonna weigh in.

In case you're wondering, this is what Josh Reddick normally looks like.

Other players got drenched, too, but kept their clothes on.
