Justin Bieber has made his first public statement since being arrested for drag racing—an Instagram post comparing him to late pop star Michael Jackson.

Bieber wrote "What more can they say" next to a split black-and-white photo of him and the Gloved One, in which both are waving to their fans after run-ins with the law

Bieber climbed atop of his Escalade Thursday after leaving a Miami jailhouse, a similar stunt to the one Jackson pulled in 2005 after being arraigned on child-molestation charges. (Jackson was eventually acquitted.)

The Canadian pop singer was probably trying to position himself as another victimized icon but, really, does Bieber want people to think of him as a manchild out of touch with reality and unnaturally attracted to children?

We thought the whole incident was a stunt to get Bieber some street cred, but this most recent item just has us scratching our head.
