Justin Bieber To Sue Over Naked Pictures, “EastEnders” Adds First Transgender Character: MEME

Jack Falahee glad people are talking about Annalise' sexuality, Julio Iglesias boycotts Trump

Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber’s people are telling any outlet that published the pictures of him naked to take them down, or prepare to be sued. If those had been taken in the U.S., particularly California, they would have been illegal to publish, so I get where they’re going with it, but it might be a hard legal battle with them taken elsewhere.

A new study says that as HIV+ men become undetectable, they start to feel a freedom they lost when they were diagnosed, and live a more normalized life. More interestingly, they’re beginning to take on the identity of “undetectable” rather than “poz” in their lives and particularly on social networks. I can say from my own experience, I’ve moved beyond being poz in the last couple of years and think of myself as undetectable. There’s a weird burden of guilt that seems to have lifted with that shift. Saying you’re poz carries a lot of stigma, even internally. Saying you’re undetectable doesn’t have the baggage, and comes with the knowledge that you’re taking care of yourself, and those around you.

Julio Iglesias
Julio Iglesias says that he’s boycotting casinos owned by Donald Trump over his immigration remarks. “I will never again play in his casinos. I don’t want to hurt the immigrants all over the world, and there are many casinos I can play that aren’t owned by Mr. Trump.”

You knew it was coming. One Million Moms is boycotting Campbell’s Soup over that adorable gay dads ad with Star Wars theme. “Campbell’s Soup is glorifying this unnatural marriage. One Million Moms believes family is based on love, but this does not justify normalizing sin. 1MM does not agree with the need for Campbell’s to support same sex marriages or couples. Companies should advertise the quality of their products. It is no longer about the product but about their cause. They should not be highlighting who is attracted to whom or who sleeps with whom. This is a marketing decision Campbell’s will regret. This gay-inclusive commercial is attempting to desensitize viewers.”

EastEnders is set to have their first transgender character played by a transgender actor. Riley-Carter Millington will join the soap this year as Kyle, making a brief appearance this month before joining full time later this year, when he’ll be a part of one of the biggest stories of the year.

While Jack Falahee still won’t discuss his own sexuality, he did comment on the revelation that Annalise has had romantic relationships with women. “I can’t really speak to it being pansexual. I think [regarding] Annalise and Eve’s relationship, like I said, audiences want content to be a reflection of everyday life. Their relationship and whatever queerness there is to Annalise—it’s just another facet to who she is. I don’t think we can easily make the jump to say Annalise is queer or bisexual as we can saying Connor is gay. The show plays and examines with it this season. I’ve heard a lot of conversations revolving around her new “trait” if you will, but the fact that they’re even discussing her sexuality in an atypical way is fantastic.”

Michigan just coughed up the cash for its fight to keep same-sex marriage banned, and it amounted to $1.9 million of taxpayer money. I can’t wait until all the states have settled and we get a nationwide total of what governors wasted trying to fight civil rights.

A group of international researchers have developed DNA nanomachines that can bind to HIV antibodies, giving off a burst of light when they do so that can be detected. This type of testing can take just five minutes, requires no reagents and is just as accurate as other tests. The work was mostly funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and researchers are far enough along to begin discussing it with medical companies.

GOP Presidential Candidates Address Economic Growth Summit In Orlando
Mike Huckabee thinks that liberals in the Vatican are embarrassing the Pope by distancing him from Kim Davis, and that the Pope should fire them. “I’d like to think that at some point the pope might start reading the press clips and maybe fire some of the people who are trying to represent him. Now, why the Vatican is trying to downplay this meeting, the only thing I can figure is that many of the very liberal elements, not only of the media, but in some cases of the Catholic Church want to distance themselves because in their elitist world, Kim Davis is an unpopular figure. But I’m telling you, wherever she goes and wherever I see people, in every airport I get on a plane and people say, ‘Thanks for standing up for Kim Davis.’ It’s very different because people realize that this is the beginning of the criminalization of Christianity if we don’t stand up to it.” I don’t care to criminalize Christianity, but I’d love to criminalize people using it for profit like Huckabee.

Scientists studying twins say they’ve found eptigenetic markers on DNA that indicate sexual orientation with 67% accuracy. While many are skeptical, it’s not the first study that has pointed to eptigenetic roles in orientation. These markers are responsible for turning on and off different aspects of the genetic code.

Andrew Rannells
Andrew Rannells is stepping in for Jonathan Groff as King George in Hamilton while Jonathan goes to film the Looking movie. Rannells will play the role October 27 thru November 29, after which Jonathan will return.

Ben Carson
Ben Carson, who once vowed to stopping talking about gay things, says that the United States needs to stop pretending that all relationships are of equal value.

“We have got to stop paying attention to the PC Police who say every lifestyle is exactly of the same value. No, it’s not of the same value. It is very clear that intact, traditional families with traditional, intact values do much better in terms of raising children. So let’s stop pretending that everything is of equal value.” Actually, it’s very clear from all social and medical science that there’s no difference in quality of child rearing between opposite gender and same-sex couples.

John Stamos
John Stamos is to be charged with driving under the influence of GHB for a traffic stop earlier this year.

Headlines are calling GHB a date rape drug, which is what the government has painted it. But I remember it as an over-the-counter sleep aid throughout Europe before it was a party drug.

When it was scheduled as illegal, it was mostly based on a single case of a date rape. I’m stunned that they could test for it at the hospital. GHB metabolizes in hours and then becomes undetectable—did he confess?

Chris Burns, an assistant basketball coach at Bryant University has come out as gay in an interview with Outsports and USA Today. “Since I started telling people in college basketball over the last few months, I’ve realized my fears were far worse than reality. I’ve realized that people, for the most part, are human beings first. For a guy who’s relatively cynical and can be negative, the reactions of people in my sport and in my life have shut me right up and reenergized my hope in the human spirit, in empathy.”

The first preview of Shadowhunters from ABC Family/Freeform is here, and I have to say that I have no idea what’s going on. It’s obviously starting from the same place as the movie, but will have more time to grow with a series format. I’m mostly in it for the same-sex romance that you guys keep telling me about.

Opinionated. You'll love to hate me
