Broadway Casting Director Fired Amid Accusations Of Sexual Misconduct

Justin Huff helped cast "Newsies," "Kinky Boots" and "The Color Purple."

A top Broadway casting director has been fired from his agency after being accused of inappropriate behavior.

Last week Justin Huff, who worked on Kinky Boots, The Color Purple, and Newsies, was let go from his position as a senior staffer at Telsey + Company.

“I was given reports of inappropriate behavior which I took very seriously," agency founder Bernard Telsey told Variety, "and once I was able to get some information, it was very clear he had to leave this office.”

Huff, who is openly gay, declined to comment on the situation and has deleted his Twitter account. The details of his behavior have not been made public, but Telsey confirmed there had been sexual misconduct.

Huff is married to actor Mo Brady, whom he cast in Catch Me if You Can.
