Justin Timberlake is having a pretty busy 2012 thus far. First came the news that Elton John had selected the singer and actor to portray him in an upcoming biopic, and now we learn that he is engaged to longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel. Congratulations, assuming this is true.
The pair split for three months in 2011, and when their relationship resumed Jessica made it clear that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Justin. So, late last month, Justin proposed while the two were away in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming. How sweet. And cold.
No wedding date has been set but the two are said to be elated (unlike all those other morose newly engaged couples we guess) and Justin has “never been happier.”
This does of course mean that we all need to brace ourselves for an onslaught of sad Cameron Diaz fabricated tabloid stories in the coming weeks. Maybe even some sad Britney Spears. And, who knows, possibly even a sad Lance Bass.
