Kacey Musgraves Loves Trixie Mattel And Is Dying To Be A "Drag Race" Judge

Country QUEENS.

Not only is Trixie Mattel now hanging in the Drag Race Hall of Fame, she is also riding high from her new album, One Stone, which hit number one in the iTunes store (she is currently beating folk legend Joan Baez for the top spot on the singer-songwriter chart).

Trixie released her first album, Two Birds, last year, and showed her music skills during the talent show challenge on All Stars 3. Now the country queen has released a music video for her new song, "Break Your Heart," where she plays multiple roles including a nosey neighbor and a vengeful surgeon.

Throughout All Stars Trixie looked like a Dolly Parton clone, but there is another country music queen that has caught her eye: Kacey Musgraves.

Kacey was recently interviewed by GQ for her upcoming album, Golden Hour, and it turns out that the "Follow Your Arrow" singer is dying to work with the All Stars queen.

"I've always wanted to be a judge on Drag Race. How fun would it be to do a live mashup of one of [Trixie's] songs and 'Dime Store Cowgirl.' Or 'Follow Your Arrow,' duh," Kacey told GQ.

She also has some ideas for what their music video could like:

What if she played me? Brunette wig? I wonder if she would. Because I know she's blonde... What if the whole video, you never see the front of her? It's just the back. And big hair and stuff. And at the very end, it's not even me the whole fucking video! Oh, that would be amazing. Okay, I'll get to work on that.

Their love is mutual because it turns out Trixie is a big fan of Kacey's. After Trixie was crowned the winner of All Stars, she spoke with Vulture, where they called her the "Kacey Musgraves of drag."

"Have you seen her costumes? She might be the Kacey Musgraves of drag," Trixie replied.

Are you listening, country music gods? We need Kacey to be a guest judge on Drag Race Season 11, and we need her to collaborate with Trixie ASAP. Make this happen, Nashville.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 premieres Thursday, March 22 at 8/7c on VH1.
