Kansas City Radio Station Welcomes Mike Pence to Town With a “Sausage Fest”

"Pence is no fan of the LGBTQ+ community, and we’re no fan of his."

A Kansas City radio station is holding a special party in Vice President Mike Pence’s “honor” as he rolls into town today.

Alternative rock station 96.5 The Buzz decided they wanted to hold some kind of gay themed party, as other cities have done, to get under the notoriously anti-LGBTQ VP’s skin. At first they were thinking a dance party, but instead decided to give the festivities a Kansas City spin by making it a cookout.

And what better to throw on the grill than something phallic?

Thus, The Mike Pence Sausage Fest was born. It kicks off at 11am today, at Barney Allis Plaza, and there will be free food while it lasts.

Listen to the station’s DJs discuss the idea for the party below.

Pence was also recently “welcomed” to town when he was in Philadelphia by Rep. Brian Sims, who made a Facebook post where he is flipping the VP the bird.
