Kat Cunning Is Your Sexy "King of Shadow" in New Music Video
There's nothing shady about Kat Cunning, our self-professed "King of Shadow."
The genderfluid actor-singer, who stars as alluring rocker chick Sabine in Netflix's new teen drama Trinkets, dropped the official music video for her single today.
Earlier this month, Cunning told NewNowNext that "King of Shadow" is an original song she'd penned prior to getting her role on Trinkets. However, since her character is also a smoky-voiced singer-songwriter, the Trinkets team was happy to feature Cunning's own music as tunes for Sabine to sing. (One scene from Season 1 even sees Elodie [Brianna Hildebrand], the show's queer protagonist and the object of Sabine's affection, join Sabine onstage for an impromptu "King of Shadow" duet.)
Meanwhile, the music video sees a sultry, made-up Cunning dancing in three distinct settings, one of which is a dimly lit bedroom with a faceless queer love interest. Shadowy indeed.
