Kathy Griffin used to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Times Square, but this year she spent the holiday walking down the aisle.
On December 31, 2019, the comedy queen surprised her fans by marrying her longtime boyfriend, Randy Bick, in an intimate ceremony at her Hollywood home. The nuptials were officiated by Lily Tomlin, who attended with her partner, Jane Wagner.
The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical. We are in love and we cannot stop laughing. Thank you @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner!#HappyNewYear pic.twitter.com/O5vOss3TCD

“What was supposed to be a shallow, ‘toot it and boot it’ one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful,” read Tomlin. “They stayed together. Then they couldn’t stay away from one another.” Griffin posted a video to Twitter, bragging that the entire ceremony was “just under 14 minutes.”
In a separate tweet, the Emmy- and Grammy-winning performer shared how her wedding dress was actually the dress she wore on her first “formal date” with Bick back in 2011.
“He picked out this dress and showed me this photo. Romance is hotttt again,” Griffin wrote.
A) This was our first formal date in September 2011! We are in the back of a limo provided by the one only @GloriaEstefan because her team arranged for me to surprise her as a back up “dancer” when she performed at the Alma awards! pic.twitter.com/Z9kNaQHFpY

Griffin has bounced back since posting a now-infamous photo of her holding a fake Donald Trump head back in 2017. She launched her Laugh Your Head Off world tour in 2018, and earlier in 2019 she released the documentary A Hell of a Story, which is now available digitally.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
