Katy Perry has been looking more gorgeous than ever as she promotes her upcoming album Prism, and it seems like the fine folks at CoverGirl have taken notice, making the singer their latest model and spokesperson. This is even more impressive as very, very few singers score cosmetic contracts, with Beyonce (L’Oreal) and Taylor Swift (also CoverGirl) being the only two that come to mind.
MAC of course almost exclusively uses singers, but those contracts are for very short durations.
BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in?
Miss Perry said in a statement:
In addition to music, I’ve always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression. I’m honored to partner with CoverGirl and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience.
Perry is no stranger to this world of course, with three fragrances of her own; Purr, Women’s Meow and Killer Queen. As for Katy Perry’s Prism, it hits shelves October 22.
Katy Perry is taking over y’all.
