Katy Perry Helps Fan Propose To Her Girlfriend Onstage During Concert

"My dream came true."

Katy Perry helped a fan propose to her girlfriend at her concert on National Coming Out Day.

At the Brooklyn's Barclay’s Center last Wednesday, Perry invited Katie and her girlfriend, Becky, on stage. “You said you had a wish. Well, this is a shooting star,” Perry told th duo as she pointed at a fake star above their heads.

Katie's wish was to spend the rest of her life with Becky.

“I don’t know if you all have seen Becky, but she’s pretty, even without any makeup on,” Katie announced to the crowd. “And she’s perfect every time I look at her.”

She then dropped to one knee and asked “Becky, will you marry me?” as Perry dropped to the floor.

“Say yes, Becky, if you want to get married,” the singer screamed. After Becky said yes, Katie blurted out "My wish came true."

Perry joins the illustrious ranks of pop divas who have had gay people propose during their shows—including Adele, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding and Tinashe.
