Real-Life Gay Couple Star In Commercial For Kellogg's Corn Flakes

The pair took part in the cereal brand's #MyPerfectBowl campaign.

A new advertising spot from breakfast cereal maker Kellogg's features a gay couple.

The pair join seven other UK couples in the iconic brand's #MyPerfectBowl campaign, which explores the different ways real people like to eat their Kellogg's.

Chris Hall, 42, and his husband Mark Hearfield, 59, have been married for 22 years and have always taken their cereal the same way: milk and honey for Hall, room temperature for Hearfield.

"When we heard about the opportunity to be in the advert, we were both really excited," Hall told the Bury Times. "We wanted to be part of the conversation and thought it would be really fun to do a film shoot in our home."

This isn't the first time Kellogg's has championed the LGBT community—this fall, the cereal brand came out against bullying alongside out singer Brian Justin Crum.

“At Kellogg, we firmly believe in equality and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and communities," said Mark King, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Office at Kellogg Company. "We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community."
