Kelly Clarkson Runs Amuck in Bewitching “Hocus Pocus” Cover

We smell children!

No one can beat Bette Midler’s iconic Winifred Sanderson from Disney’s 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus, but Kelly Clarkson’s new cosplay is giving Midler a run for her magical money.

“Kellyoke,” Clarkson’s talk show segment where she slays covers, has proven to be a highlight of every episode. For the spookiest day of the year, the OG American Idol winner—and her backup singers—dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters with bewitching results.

The performance starts off with the weird sisters watching Creature From the Black Lagoon in a haunted movie theater, with Clarkson sporting Midler’s iconic red hair and green dress from the movie. The trio then wind their way through the crowd while crooning a cover of “I Put a Spell on You,” the song Winifred performs in Hocus Pocus as she literally casts a spell over the town’s adults at the annual Halloween costume ball.

Does Clarkson succeed in working her witchy ways over the audience? Light your black flame candle and find out below.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
