Kelly Clarkson didn’t let the fact that she’s headlining the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend in Las Vegas stop her from throwing a little bit of shade at the radio platform.
On Thursday (Sept. 20), iHeartRadio tweeted about the many hats Clarkson is wearing with the recent news the singer will have a daytime talk show next fall.
The “Already Gone” singer then hit retweet and called them out for not playing her newest records.
….except for getting my songs played on your stations. I guess I’m cool enough to invite but not cool enough to play my record. #truth #check #seeyasaturday HAHAHAHAHAHA #MeaningOfLife https://t.co/WNGa0xqAyN

Fans quickly backed up Clarkson’s claim.
“Y’all deserved that shade,” replied one Twitter user. “Every hour, your stations play like 25 minutes of the same 15 songs on your short playlist and the rest of the hour is filled with commercials.”
Another user responded, “TEA. And this is why I don’t listen to the radio and haven’t the past 10 years.”
iHeartRadio hasn’t responded to the American Idol, yet. We’ll see how things go down at the concert this weekend.
