Kim Cattrall Drags Sarah Jessica Parker Over "Sex And The City 3" Cancelation: "I Don't Know What Her Issue Is"

Don't mess with Samantha Jones.

"It's over...we're not doing it."

That was the sad news Sarah Jessica Parker delivered to fans when she told Extra last week that plans for a third Sex and the City movie were dead.

"I'm disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story," added Parker. "It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

According to The Daily Mail, pre-production for Sex and the City 3 was about to begin, with filming scheduled to start this fall in New York. The Daily Mail also reports that the reason production for the movie has been stalled is because SATC star Kim Cattrall demanded the movie's studio, Warner Bros., produce other projects she had in development, or she wouldn't sign on for another installment of the beloved series.

"The only reason this movie isn't being made is because of Kim Cattrall. Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim," said an anonymous source.

Another source told E! News, that Cattrall being the reason the movie is being shelved "is totally untrue. There have been many different rumors and this is just fiction."

Samantha Jones spoke up, herself, on Twitter, clarifying that the only "demand" she ever made was she didn't want to do a third Sex and the City movie in the first place:

The actress sat down with Piers Morgan for his ITV series, Life Stories, and she spoke out about her decision not to return and play Samantha Jones again—and the backlash she's received:

"And now, now at this very moment it's quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I've been saying for almost a year of 'no' that I'm demanding or a diva. And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer."

"I really think she could have been nicer," she repeated. "I don't know what her issue is, I never have."

Will Samantha and Carrie make up or have the Sex and the City ladies slipped on their last pair of Manolo Blahniks?
