"Cry-Baby" Star Kim "Hatchet-Face" McGuire Dead At 60

Rest in peace, Kim.

Actress Kim McGuire, best known for her role as Mona "Hatchet-Face" Malnorowski alongside Johnny Depp in the 1990 John Waters cult classic Cry-Baby, has died at age 60.

McGuire's death was confirmed Wednesday by the official Facebook page of drag icon Divine, a fellow John Waters superstar.

Wrote the page: "Our dear friend Kim McGuire passed away today. Kim was best known for her role as Mona 'Hatchet-Face' Malnorowski in John Waters' cult film Cry-Baby. Rest In Peace Kim."

"Anyone who met her knew she lit up a room the second she walked in," wrote Suzy Hixson, a friend of McGuire's surviving husband, Gene Piotrowsky (above), on a GoFundMe page set up to help pay funeral expenses.

"Everyone who came in contact with Kim couldn't help but smile."

Hixson added: "She flourished in theater and passed the BAR to become an attorney in multiple states. Much of this came tumbling down when Hurricane Katrina hit. Kim and Gene were living in New Orleans at the time and unfortunately lost everything in the hurricane… Since the hurricane, Kim became an accomplished author with her dear husband Gene by her side and publishing books of his own."
