Kim Kardashian is sick of everyone making fun of her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. Yes, she made a mockery out of an institution denied to people around the world who have been with their partners longer than Kim has been alive. Yes, she made us all hear about her wedding details and see pictures of her not one, not two, but three wedding dresses. Yes, she made a mistake by walking down the aisle and promising forever to a guy she hadn't dated for very long.

But that doesn't mean you have the right to tease her for her short marriage. Want to know why? Because Kim is defending herself by pointing out that she is still married to Kris Humphries. Yes, you read that right. Kim's defense is essentially "I'm still married to Kris. See! So we technically lasted 17 months." What she really said was: "Technically I'm still married, so that joke doesn't really work … Give it up, people."

Um, Kimmy K? Just so you know, that is a terrible excuse because:

a) That would still be a short marriage.

b) You can't really act as if you are still married to Kris in any way that counts other than when David Letterman makes fun of you.

c) You are pregnant with Kanye West's baby. You are having a child with a man who has been your boyfriend since last April. If you really think of yourself as married to Kris, then you are a terrible wife.

Sorry Kim, you don't get to dictate anyone's sense of humor about your marriage which, let's face it, lasted at MOST 72 days.
