A war of words is brewing between Jules Mann-Stewart, the mother of Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, and The Mirror reporter Sharon Feinstein over a story the tabloid published yesterday, in which Jules allegedly confirmed her daughter is bisexual and dating her personal assistant Alicia Cargile.

Jules denied yesterday afternoon that she outed her daughter and claimed the quotes used by Feinstein were completely fabricated. Feinstein, on the other hand, claims the interview was taped and plans to release the audio on Twitter today.

Speaking with US Weekly, Jules said:

"I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum. It’s currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for [The Wolf Connection]. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!"

Jules confirmed that she called Alicia "a lovely girl" and noted she's a "huge supporter of gay rights," but nothing further.

On Twitter, Feinstein defended her integrity and claimed she would upload the tapes to prove Jules said what was printed:

I intend to load my tape of the interview I did with Kristen Stewart's mother Jules in two clips. Watch this space

blatantly deny it and call the journalists integrity into question

Thanks to all believers in journalists and their integrity and decency ! Let's turn the tide against the haters !!

Feinstein apparently had technical issues while trying to upload the tapes last night. We're waiting with bated breath!

Update: Mirror reporter Sharon Feinstein has decided not to release her tapes:

To put an end to the tape conversation I am afraid that is not only my decision as there is a publisher involved
