We were eagerly anticipating Paul Rudd and One Direction on Saturday Night Live last night, but we got an extra present under the tree with an appearance by former cast member Kristen Wiig in the episode's cold open.

The Bridesmaids star reprised her baby-handed character Dooneese in a sendup of NBC's The Sound of Music Live!, which was a ratings bonanza for the network. Fred Armsiten also made a cameo at the end of the skit as Lawrence Welk.

We love seeing the old cast, but c'mon—between the veterans, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and other "surprise" guests, the new kids barely get a chance. That said, this one was an instant classic.
