Kylie Minogue Headlining New York City Pride

Tove Lo, Sasha Velour, and Big Freedia will also play the revamped Pride Island festival.

Kylie Minogue has been announced as the headliner for Pride Island, New York City Pride’s two-day musical festival running June 23 and June 24 on Pier 97.

The Aussie pop goddess—whose new album, Golden, drops April 6—takes the stage Sunday, supported by superstar DJs Grind, Ralphi Rosario, and Corey Craig.

On Saturday, Swedish pop sensation Tove Lo headlines the first day of Pride Island, with additional sets by Queen of Bounce Big Freedia and Detroit hip-hop sensation Lizzo. Also performing Saturday is Sasha Velour, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9.

“With the success of last year’s Pride Island, we are thrilled to bring back our music festival in a two-day format,” says Pride Island director Jose Ramos, Pride Island Director, who calls this year’s lineup “perfect examples of the evolution of Dance on the Pier.”

New York City Pride takes place June 14 to June 24, with a theme of “Defiantly Different,” addressing the diversity of the LGBT community and its power to unify.

“This year’s theme is about showing our power, squaring our shoulders in the face of adversity, and continuing to sculpt that magnetic bond within the LGBTQ+ community and our allies,” says Pride co-chair David Studinski. “The corresponding creative showcases a wide selection of defiantly different community members—from performance artists to mental health advocates. We are standing defiantly—defiantly different and defiantly as one.”
