Kylie Minogue Announces Title Of New Album

Are you excited, lovers?

Kylie Minogue is about to enter a golden era.

Today, the Australian pop princess announced the title of her highly-anticipated 14th studio album, Golden, set to be released spring 2018. This is her first major release since her 2015 holiday album, Kylie Christmas, and her first original studio album since 2014's criminally underrated Kiss Me Once.

This is will be the "Love At First Sight" singer's first album under her new record deal with BMG who are promising fans a "great, big, classic Kylie pop record."

Minogue has been keeping mum on the new batch of songs, but fans think they might have a country flavor to them since she has been recording in Nashville.

“I went to Nashville for two weeks and that became the album. I did a lot of work on the album before that but Nashville had a profound effect on me," she told Biz On Sunday.

“The songs are very storytelling and story-based. It was so great to do things a little bit differently.”

This will also be her first album since her public breakup with actor Joshua Sasse. The two started dating after they met on the set of ABC's musical series Galavant. They were engaged, but Minogue ended the engagement last February.

“There’s a little bit of heartbreak, I would say," she told The Sun.

“Definitely, in the last year, there’s been some of that but we bounce back. Most of it is super positive and inspiring, as a note to self as much as anything else. I’m feeling great right now.”

“It was cathartic. It was good. In the studio it’s a slightly weird concept to be spending seven, eight, nine hours in a room with people sometimes you don’t know. If you’re working with good people it’s the perfect place to deal with stuff.”

We haven't even heard the bops yet, but Minogue already has touring on the brain, promising live shows sometime in 2018.

“You’ve got me at a time where I can see light at the end of the tunnel,” she said last year. “Thoughts are turning to the look. There will be shows next year for sure. I can’t wait to perform again.”

The first single from Golden, reportedly called "Dancing," will drop sometime this month. Until then let's look back at one of her best tunes.
