After a self-imposed exile following hip surgery earlier this year, Lady Gaga has started popping up on our radar again: Earlier this week she was the subject of a nasty tweet by celebutante Kelly Osbourne. And then she showed up in the sizzling trailer for Machete Kills. But now we can report Mother Monster is actually (gasp!) making music.

This morning Gaga posted a photo of herself and super-producer Dallas Austin inside a recording studio, where they're putting some last bells and whistles on her upcoming third release ARTPOP, due this fall.

Despite the photo above, we're pretty sure she's not actually using her butt to work the sound board. Although we wouldn't put it past her.
