Lady Gaga Calls Mike Pence "The Worst Representation of Christianity"

"I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice..."

Before Lady Gaga kicked off her Lady Gaga Jazz and Piano show in Las Vegas on Sunday night showcasing her softer side, Mother Monster carved out some time in her Enigma set the night before to address the government shutdown and drag Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen.

“If the fucking President of the United States could please put our government back in business," Gaga asked during “Million Reasons” at her concert Saturday. “There are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money.”

The 32-year-old then went into a speech calling out VP Pence over recent reports that his wife is working at Immanuel Christian School in Springfield, Virginia, which has an anti-LGBTQ policy that affects students, parents, and employees.

“And to Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ? You are wrong. You're the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian."

Gaga continued, "I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and look yourself in the mirror and you'll find it right there."
