Why Lady Gaga’s Bowie Tribute At The Grammys Could Be A Disaster

The Grammys are tonight, and while there’s plenty of anticipation for who will take home an award, the recent deaths of several music icons means the tributes will be closely watched, as well.

Lady Gaga will honor David Bowie with a performance, which feels appropriate—she’s certainly followed in his footsteps as far as pushing boundaries and inverting norms about gender and sexuality.

But is it going to be one big commercial?

When Mother Monster announced her partnership with Intel some time back, we didn’t think anything of it. But we’re a little worried about how prominently the computer giant is featured in this corny promo.

Is Gaga going to roll out some big Intel release during the show? Shouldn’t the focus be on the music?

We hope we’re wrong and Gaga gives Ziggy Stardust his due.
