Lady Gaga Threatened With Jail, $50,00 Fine If She Speaks Out On Gay Rights

Russia is just not the place for female performers these days.
Lady Gaga's camp just received word that should the singer speak in favor of gay rights while performing in St. Petersburg, she would be fined $50,000 and possibly jailed.
“We saw that in addition to music, songs and such, there were direct calls for 12-year-old citizens to support the LGBT community,” United Russian deputy Vitaly Milonov stated. He then added, “when people tell kids ‘you must support sexual minorities’, that can create a false equivalence for them between traditional and non-traditional relationships.”
This will no doubt motivate Gaga more to speak in favor of gay rights, and it should help that Madonna was recently threatened with a $10 million fine in the same city for promoting pro-gay propaganda-- and the charge was laughed out of court.
But for all of those gays planning a romantic trip to St. Petersburg, maybe best to skip it.
