New York Fashion Week is off and strutting.

While some big names remain in the wings (Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren), a slew of the heavy hitters have already delivered their Spring/Summer 2016 collections (Givenchy, Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang).

We learned about independence from Candice Swanepoel, who was defiant in accepting a helping hand after taking a tumble during Givenchy.

We learned how to counter claustrophobia from Anna Wintour, who adopted a "you can't sit with [me]" attitude while attending Tory Burch's show.

And we learned about gun control from Jeremy Scott.

6 days down, 3 to go (with Marc Jacob's show serving as the unofficial closer on Thursday evening), and it's already been one for the coffee table books.

One thing's for certain: there have been no shortage of celebrity sightings this week, from the fashion-elite to Hollywood's finest, even Rita Ora.
