Lady Gaga Beams Down From Chromatica for Biden Rally in PA
Lady Gaga traveled from Chromatica all the way to Pennsylvania to help save our democracy.
This Monday, November 2, Mother Monster gave an impassioned speech and performance at Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's drive-in rally in Pittsburgh.
“Vote like your life depends on it, or vote like your children’s lives depends on it because they do,” the "911" singer told the audience. “Everybody, no matter how you identify, now is your chance to vote against Donald Trump, a man who believes his fame gives him the right to grab one of your daughters, or sisters, or mothers or wives by any part of their bodies. ... Vote for Joe. He’s a good person.”
While speaking to the crowd, she warned that this was "not a time to feel comfortable and sit back... vote like this country depends on it because it does!"
Later in the night, she performed "Shallow" from A Star Is Born and "You and I," telling audience members about her personal ties to Pennsylvania in between songs: "I was engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It didn't work out. I loved him so much; it just did not work out."
"But I still love my Pennsylvania guy, I love Joe. So Joe's my new Pennsylvania guy," Gaga continued, before bursting into a powerful rendition of the classic Born This Way cut.
This isn't the first time the singer has hit the campaign trail. She also spoke at Hillary Clinton's final rally during the 2016 election cycle.
Today (Tuesday, November 3) is Election Day, so go vote, and then watch Gaga's mini-concert below.
