Lady Gaga Releases New Track "Million Reasons"

The song is the second single from "Joanne."

Last night, Lady Gaga released a new song from her upcoming album, Joanne.

The track, "Million Reasons," was produced by Gaga, Mark Ronson, BloodPop and Nashville songwriter Hillary Lindsey.

"Million Reasons" is a complete tonal shift from the driving rock beats of "Perfect Illusion," the first single dropped from the album.

Here, Gaga yearns for a lover to give her one good reason to stay as a gentle guitar strums in the background.

When the artist was first talking about Joanne, she said it would be totally different from anything she's ever created, and the two singles we've heard thus far are proving just how diverse, and wide-reaching, it will be.

Earlier this week, the singer talked about the inspiration behind the album with Ryan Seacrest:

Joanne, for me was about writing an album that is about something much bigger than myself. It’s about my connection to my family, my connection to my friends, my self-awareness of who I am in this world and what I wish to be.

I went into the studio and I erased my fame to write, and I said, "I’m going to become Joanne. I’m going to take on the sentiment of a woman that didn’t live the rest of her life."

Listen to "Million Reasons" below.

Joanne drops October 21.
