Lady Gaga Turned Down Million Dollar Offer From Republicans

Lady Gaga is a fabulous, hugely talented star. Who doesn't love her? So maybe it's not that surprising that the RNC wanted her to perform at their convention. What is surprising is that they'd think she'd ever take the offer. Does Gaga seem like the type of person who'd want to be associated with the Republican party? Our guess is no.
The Washington Examiner reports that RNC officials did what they could to sweeten the deal, telling Gaga it would be at an event "honoring women who run for public office." They also told her "$150,000 will go towards a domestic violence shelter." And of course a million dollars. However, despite all this, Gaga refused. Perhaps it had something to do with her pro-LGBT and pro-immigration stances, something that the GOP isn't exactly known for. We're willing to bet that the offer left Gaga Speechless. It's like they were trying to romance her, but in a bad way. There must be some other way to say that...
Looks like Republicans will have to stick to their typical roster of musicians. We don't think Meatloaf is too busy these days.
