Lady Gaga Surprising a Teary-Eyed Gay Superfan Will Make Your Day

Little Monsters out there might want to grab some tissues.

Mother Monster lived up to her nickname when she comforted one emotional superfan in the surprise celebrity encounter of a lifetime.

Lady Gaga, who's currently in promo mode for her makeup line, Haus Laboratories, recently stopped by the Allure offices for the magazine's most recent cover story. But the bisexual pop icon's itinerary didn't end with an interview and a photoshoot: Allure also invited Brandon Galaz—a cosmetology student and a gay Gaga superfan—to have his makeup done by Gaga's out MUA.

Unbeknownst to Galaz, Gaga was hiding in another room, and when the 19-year-old makeup artist-in-training began to read from a heartfelt letter he'd penned to the "Shallow" singer thanking her for her music's impact on his life, she appeared.

Barely able to hold back his tears, Galaz continued to read from his letter, recalling his emotional coming out to his family, which "drove a wedge" between him and his father. But it was worth it, he said, quoting an iconic "Born This Way" lyric: "Don't hide yourself in regret / Just love yourself and you're set."

"You're my role model," Galaz continued, locking eyes with the bisexual pop singer, who'd already begun to tear up too. "I am unsure if I'd have the courage to accept and be who I am today without the acceptance and peace I have found in your music and life story."

We're not crying, you're crying!

Gaga, of course, is no stranger to a show-stopping reveal. On Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race, she attempted to dupe the queens by posing as a Lady Gaga drag queen impersonator. (Surprise, surprise, she absolutely slayed the workroom.)

Watch Allure's full surprise below, including Gaga's response to Galaz's poignant letter, but be warned, you might need to grab some tissues.
