Lady Gaga Update: Previews New Songs, Tweets Lyrics for "Judas" & Loves Liza!

Gaga brings the heat(miser) to Madison Square Garden.

Lady Gaga was prancing around MSG here in NYC last night, where she gave shout-outs to audience members Liza Minnelli and Marisa Tomei… But she’s been busy in the studio (of course) and Tweeting, too.

Yesterday, MTV dished that Ms. Germanotta took to Twitter to reveal some of the lyrics to “Judas,” the next single due from Born This Way. After she told Carson Daly last week that “Judas” was going to be much darker than “Born This Way,” we got this Tweet of “Judas” lyrics yesterday: “I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel, but I’m still in love with Judas, baby…”

And last Friday, Rolling Stone got a listen to 6 songs from Born This Way, including “Judas” which RS writer Matthew Perpetua described as “a classic Lady Gaga pop banger with three huge hooks, a thumping house music breakdown and a vocal part that borrows a bit of Rihanna’s distinctive cadence.” But Perpetua claimed that “Judas” isn’t so dark after all (with a different take no the lyrics); writes Perpetua: “There’s a bubbly sweetness in her voice as she sings ‘I’m just a holy fool / baby it’s so cool / I’m still in love with Judas, baby.’”

“Cool” or “cruel?” Who can say?

Gaga fans talk up the diva outside her NYC shows. Monsters unite!

RS also says that the tune “Edge of Glory” features Bruce Springsteen’s sax man Clarence Clemons tooting his horn, and that the tune “Scheiße” (which was remixed for a Thierry Mugler fashion show in Paris in January, and the title of which is the German word for “sh*t” ) is a flashback to Euro-house/90′s dance classics by the likes of “C&C Music Factory, Snap and RuPaul”–which sounds beyond legendary. And the tune apparently has a chorus that’s reminiscent of “Eye of the Tiger.” Which, sounds like it could be the best Gaga song ever, maybe?

And there’s the tune “Hair”–which is not from the classic Broadway musical–but is called something of a mix of vibes which recall Pat Benatar’s “We Belong” and Nine Inch Nails. Why not???

Meanwhile, this season’s other pop diva to contend with, Britney Spears, has had a bit of her next single, “I Wanna Go” leaked. Hear the snippet!

So get ready… The next few weeks/months are only gonna bring more Gaga, Britney, “Hair,” a bad boy named “Judas” and some danceable German-accented pop poop with “Scheiße.” Danke schoen, folks.

Oh, and I love the visual of this tweet from Gaga last night. Cute and deranged, eh?
