Lady Gaga Wins Golden Globe, Thanks Matt Bomer And Cast Of "American Horror Story: Hotel"

"Thank you for sharing your talent with me"

Lady Gaga beat some fierce competition at the 2016 Golden Globes, taking the prize for Best Actress In A TV Movie Or Mini-Series for American Horror Story: Hotel.

It was an emotional moment for Gaga: As her name was announced, she covered her mouth with her hand, visibly shaken. Fiance Taylor Kinney looked jubilant, and show creator Ryan Murphy embraced her.

She made her way to the stage, with cheers of "Gaga!" following her as the ominous Hotel theme music made for one of the stranger marches to the podium.

Especially for Leonardo DiCaprio.

After she composed herself, Gaga gave a tearful and wide-eyed acceptance speech.

She told the audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel:

"I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now. This is one of the greatest moments of my life. I have to thank Ryan Murphy. You're just a wonderful human being. You have believed in me so much and been such a wonderful friend to me.

Thank you to my wonderful cast. I love you guys so much, and you're my family forever. I have to thank Matt Bomer, and I have to thank Denis O'Hare, and Angela Bassett and Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Whittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters. I could go through the entire cast because you're all so talented, and because of you, I was able to shine I guess.

So thank you for sharing your talent with me. I wanted to be an actress before I wanted to be a singer, but music worked out first.

To my family, my mother, my father, my sister Natalie, I love you so much. I have to thank my team. You guys pick me up every single day. The things I put my body through and my mind through when I'm working it makes me like a child.

I can't even do things on my own, and you allow that, and you take care of me, and you help me to explore my creativity in ways I never thought I could."

It was a sincere and affecting speech. Congratulations to Lady Gaga (who already gave us a glimpse of her glamour earlier in the night, presenting with Tom Ford.)
