Laganja Estranja Takes a Tex-Mex Food Tour With Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire

In honor of LGBTQ Pride Month, the “Drag Race” queen is making cocktails for a cause.

Oh, y’all wanted a twist? Well, Laganja Estranja is about to go from tuck to muk—bang, that is, in a new video for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 queen has teamed up with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire and its parent company, Brown-Forman, to give back to the LGBTQ community in honor of this year’s LGBTQ Pride Month. Watch as Laganja invites you to a good ol’ fashioned mukbang (In case you don’t speak YouTube, we’ll catch you up to speed: A “mukbang” is a type of vlog in which the creator eats and chats on camera.)

Jack Daniel's

Laganja is a Dallas girl, so her platter of food consists of Tex-Mex delicacies like tacos, guacamole, and churros, but before she starts her feast, Laganja plays bartender and serves up a delicious cocktail using Tennessee Fire.

“That’s the whole point of a mukbang—get out of your comfort zone, mama, and feel it,” she says in the video.

As if watching Laganja chow down on screen wasn’t enough, the dancing queen takes us on a sashay down memory lane as she rates her runway looks from her time on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Keeping with the Tex-Mex theme, she rates her fashion moments on a scale of Pico de Gallo to ghost pepper hotness.

During her food tour and fashion review, Laganja shouts out organizations receiving support from Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire including GLAAD, the New Orleans LGBT Hospitality Alliance, Kansas City PrideFest, Pride North West, and Three Dollar Cinema.

Gia Gunn also swings by in a surprise cameo to help Laganja with the dessert course—but the churros don’t leave the two yelling, “Yas, Gawd!”

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
