Frank Marino, Drag Divas Perform At L.A. Youth Benefit

Frank Marino's famous Divas Las Vegas show is coming to Los Angeles for one night only.

The queens will perform as part of the "Golden Ticket" show hosted by Cops4Causes, designed to benefit LA County foster youth and their families. Proceeds from the evening go toward providing opportunities for foster families and 1st responders to attend theater productions and workshops at some of LA's greatest theaters.

L.A. Deputy Christopher Landavazo is both founder and president of the non-profit, and hopes the Golden Ticket will help create a different relationship between law enforcement and youth in the foster care system.

A recent UCLA study found that one in five foster youth identifies as LGBT, a fact that touched Landavazo as a member of the gay community himself.

The deputy turned to Vegas drag legend Marino when it came time to hire entertainment for the night, and Marino jumped at the opportunity.

"Anytime there's a benefit that can help the youth of America, I’m always first to volunteer," says Marino.

He promises the event, which takes place in LA on March 13, will entertain everyone from "prom kids to senior citizens."
