Laverne Cox Starring As Frank-N-Furter In "Rocky Horror Picture Show" Remake
NBC might be giving us the Wiz, but Fox is upping the musical ante with a television remake of the Rocky Horror Picture Show—starring Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the role played by Tim Curry in the original Broadway show and the 1975 movie.
The film version—costarring Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick—celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
A TV version has been gestating for years. In 2010, Glee did its own take, with Amber Riley as Frank-n-Furter and Chord Overstreet as Rocky.
Airing fall 2016, the two-hour taped production is described as a "re-imagining" of the cult classic. Besides Cox, no other stars have been announced.
But that's not gonna stop us from stunt-casting some of the other roles. How about:
Zac Efron as Brad
Lea Michele as Janet
Colton Haynes as Rocky (boy can SING!)
Adore Delano as Magenta
Ricky Martin as Riff-Raff
Demi Lovato as Columbia
