Lee Daniels Recruits Transgender Model Amiyah Scott For "Empire" Spin-Off

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" hopeful has secured her next gig.

She might not have secured a peach on the current season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but trans model Amiyah Scott has earned a far more prestigious gig (all tea, all shade), joining the cast of Lee Daniel's highly anticipated Empire prequel.

According to TMZ, Scott received a call from Daniels himself back in August asking her to read for the new show, which centers around Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) before she met Lucious (Terrence Howard).

Our production sources tells them that Daniels loved Amiyah's look and thought she'd be perfect for one of the singers in a girl group.

Vivica A. Fox has been rumored to be starring in the yet-untitled spin-off. "In limbo," Fox said when asked about the prospects during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. "But a possibility?" host Andy Cohen pressed. "Yes, absolutely. And I would jump at the opportunity," Fox replied.
