LeAnn Rimes will headline PrideFest, New York City Pride’s annual street festival, on Sunday, June 25.
“The LGBTQ community is family to me. We have been so supportive of each other over my entire career and my music wouldn’t be the same without their love and quite frankly, their inspiration,” Rimes said in a statement. “I am so honored and excited to perform at PrideFest. Get ready, it’s going to be epic!”
The free event will be located on Hudson Street in the West Village, where the New York Pride March concludes.
“LeAnn’s performance is sure to bring things to a whole new level,” said PrideFest director Lori Roberto Fine. Rimes performance will capstone the daylong event, which also includes other musicians, artists, nonprofits, and community groups.
New York Pride 2017 will be a musical one indeed—in addition to Rimes, performers like Patti LaBelle, Years and Years and Tegan and Sara will headline the inaugural Pride Island festival. And that’s not even mentioning the as-yet-unnamed diva who will take the stage at the legendary Dance on the Pier.
Any guesses yet?
