Good Luck Picking Out the "Baddest Bitch" in New "Legendary" Trailer

HBO Max is serving the children.

Let the ball begin!

HBO Max's upcoming ball competition series, Legendary, has a new trailer, and as Jurassic Park's John Hammond would say, the streaming service has spared no expense.

In case you need a refresher, here’s the show’s official description:

Legendary turns modern-day ball culture into a competition, featuring divas battling on teams called ’Houses’ in challenges involving fashion, dance, and voguing. Each house is comprised of five performers and a leader. The nine-episode series features the teams facing off against one another for a trophy and cash prize. Each episode features a different themed ball and extensive footage of the competitors preparing behind the scenes.

The cast of Legendary includes MC Dashaun Wesley and DJ MikeQ, as well as celebrity judges Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Jamil made headlines in February when her casting announcement received backlash because people were upset her spot didn’t go to a queer person with knowledge of the ballroom scene. The British star of NBC’s The Good Place eventually came out as queer, later admitting the timing of her news was a “perfect clusterfuck.”

Meanwhile, the extravagant new Legendary preview breaks down the competition and reveals that the winning house will walk away with a $100,000 grand prize.

Honey, we are no longer on a Paris Is Burning budget! Try picking out the "baddest bitch" in the trailer below.
