Lena Dunham is full of surprises.
The Girls creator told us all about her “first time” losing her virginity to Barack Obama. Her voting virginity that is.
“Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy,” she says in the beginning of the YouTube video paid for by Obama’s campaign.
Lena goes on to detail why she “did it” with Obama — birth control, LGBT rights AKA “beautiful, complicated weddings” for gay people, and women’s rights.
The video is true to Dunham’s style — witty, deadpan, funny, and intelligent. It’s easy to appreciate Lena’s “get out the vote” participation.
Well, that is once you get past the fact that the first time she voted was for Barack Obama. Which is a constant reminder of how successful she is at 26.
