If the hope was for Bridesmaids to lead to more female-centric comedy, it’s definitely succeeding with Lena Dunham’s new HBO series, Girls. While it doesn’t premiere until this April, the new trailer shows a whole lot to look forward to — sex, women talking together about things that aren’t just men and sex and Dunham declaring her character is “the voice of (her) generation. Or at least a voice, of a generation.”
If that isn’t selling some of the men in the audience, the show’s producer, Judd Apatow, is also a pretty big deal these days.
For those who are unfamiliar with Dunham, run out and get her 2010 film Tiny Furniture which also stars two Girls cast members, Dunham’s best friend Jemima Kirke and her kid sister Grace Dunham.
