What Life’s Been Like Without Bowie And Prince

"Slender Bodies" pays homage to the late icons.

It’s been more than a year since we lost Prince and David Bowie, but we’re all still feeling the loss. Back in April, on the one-year anniversary of Prince’s passing, fashion-video network Made 2 Measure released “Slender Bodies,” a visual tribute to the late icons.

Overlaid with the soft melancholy of Lee Fields and the Expressions’ “My World is Empty Without You,” “Slender Bodies” sees seemingly everyday people tackling mundane tasks (vacuuming, washing the car, sawing wood) decked out in dramatic outfits that pay homage to the two superstars, who were both fashion icons in their own right.

Directed by design firm Dear Mr Quistgaard, the video is part of M2M’s Four Stories series, which rallies four up-and-coming directors around a themeā€”in this case, nostalgia.

If you think you’ve healed from the loss of these transgressive icons, think again.
