Lili Reinhart Comes Out as Bisexual

“Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman."

Move over, Choni and Kevin Keller—there's a new member of the LGBTQ community at Riverdale High.

Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper on the CW series Riverdale, has come out as bisexual in an Instagram post promoting the LGBTQ+ For #BlackLivesMatter protest happening today, June 3, in West Hollywood, California.

“Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman,” Reinhart posted to her Instagram story on June 3. “And I will be joining this protest today. Come join."

Reinhart had been dating her Riverdale co-star, Cole Sprouse, since 2017, but according to Page Six, the two split before the coronavirus pandemic and have been quarantining separately.

Sprouse's twin brother, Dylan, told Entertainment Tonight that Cole was quarantining with KJ Apa, who plays Archie on Riverdale: "Him and KJ in the very beginning of quarantine ended up staying together at KJ's place in Los Angeles. So, they’re isolating together, which is very cute."

As NewNowNext previously reported, activists have organized demonstrations in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man killed by Minneapolis police last week. Protests have happened nationwide, including a peaceful demonstration outside of New York City’s Stonewall Inn, the site of the famed 1969 uprising against a police raid.

LGBTQ+ For #BlackLivesMatter is being held at the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood.
