Lil' Kim Davis Speaks!

"I just wanted to use the brilliance of one Kim to belittle the bigotry of the other."

While Heidi Klum might be the undisputed Queen of Halloween, the Kween of 'ween was absolutely without question the incomparable Lil' Kim Davis – the county clerk with a penchant for rapping about "motherfu*ckin' gettin' money hoes."

Expertly thought up, designed and embodied by The People's Couch's Emerson Collins, the idea spawned as way to mock Kim Davis who, according to Collins, has mocked our constitution, her office and the equality of all of us in or pursuing same-sex relationships.

"The wordplay part of Lil' Kim Davis is amusing and obvious," Collins tells us, "however, I also enjoyed that Lil' Kim's iconic look was so brazen, bold, body-positive and celebratory while Kim Davis's fashion literally represents the sad, puritanical beliefs she espouses. I believe that laughing in the face of oppressors is one of the best way to neutralize their power, influence and impact."

And most importantly... "I think Lil' Kim would be proud."

Collins, along with his People's Couch co-stars Blake McIver Ewing and Scott Nevins, attended Fred & Jason's 10th Annual Halloweenie fundraiser benefitting the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.
