Lil Nas X Wants to Do Super Bowl Halftime Show “Maybe Next Year”

Unless, of course, Beyoncé invites him to brunch.

Lil Nas X may have a Super Bowl commercial this year, but he’s already thinking bigger for 2021.

“The blessings just keep punching me in the face,” he told ET this week at SiriusXM Radio Row in Miami. “The blessings are literally knocking me out at this point.”

So would Lil Nas X, who came out as gay last summer, ever want to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show? “I think that would be… incredible,” he said. “I hope so. I will. I will. Maybe next year. Maybe next year.”

“Maybe next year if I’m not doing something else which is extremely important,” the 20-year-old Grammy winner clarified.

What could be more important than the Super Bowl halftime show? “I don’t know,” he said. “I could be, you know, like, at Beyoncé’s brunch or something.” We stan a man with priorities!

In the meantime, look for Lil Nas X’s Doritos commercial, which features an “Old Town Road” dance-off, during the big game.
