Lil Yachty Sports A Rainbow Grill—And A Gay Kiss—On His New Album Cover

"Embrace yourself."

Lil Yachty has released the track list and artwork for his new album, Teenage Emotions, a followup to his 2016 mixtape Summer Songs 2. And in a rarity for hiphop, the Atlanta rapper gave a shoutout to the queer community on the cover.

The cover features a diverse group of people in a movie theater, including a woman with vitiligo, an albino teen, and an adorable young gay couple seen kissing. And Yachty himself is depicted wearing all pink and sporting a bright rainbow-colored grill.

On Instagram Live, the "1 night" rapper discussed the inspiration behind the album art: “If you have vitiligo or if you’re gay or whatever it is, embrace yourself," he said. "Love yourself. Be happy, positive.”

He also tweeted about his sparkly "Fruit Loops grill," a replica of which is available for purchase for $14.98 on Yachty's merch website.

Photographer Kenneth Cappello shot the cover, which was designed by graphic designer Mihailo Andic, who also created Lil Yachty’s logo and the covers for Lil Boat and Summer Songs 2. Andic told XXL that he and Lil' Yachty came up with the concept together, and that "[Yachty] wanted this cover to stand for inclusion and all teenagers."

"He’s pretty much the king of teens," he added, "and he just wanted to show no matter who you are, you have to embrace who you are and you have to be be proud and be yourself, and I think that’s what we captured with this cover."

Lil Yachty's Twitter fans are clearly here for the LGBT inclusion:

Teenage Emotions drops May 26.
