The drama of the Real Housewives franchise is crossing cities, as Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump has spoken out against Orange County-newcomer Peggy Sulahian’s homophobic treatment of her brother.
The 43-year-old banned her brother, fashion designer Pol’ Atteu, from attending their father’s funeral because he’s gay, according to Radar.
Atteu’s fiancé Patrik Simpson accused Sulahian of being homophobic after she devastated his partner with the decision, and now Vanderpump is calling out the OC star for her bigoted behavior.
“I do not tolerate prejudice of any kind,” she told Radar. “And I have no interest in homophobia or in disgusting behavior like this. I do not condone or even acknowledge it.”
“You know my opinion on this,” she added. “Any attack on the gay community is something that I take very personally.”
Sulahian has reportedly not spoken to her brother in over 20 years, even saying that “Pol’s kind” was not welcome around her family, according to Simpson.
But Vanderpump is not the only Bravo star speaking out against the homophobic housewife. Sulahian’s co-stars Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd are reportedly furious about the news, too.
Housewives head honcho Andy Cohen is allegedly trying to get Sulahian to join him on Watch What Happens Live to address the allegations, but she has reportedly refused to accept the invitation.
